Newly admitted students of Bishop Okoye Spiritan Secondary school have been urged to embrace hardwork and discipline as important virtues that would help them excel in their academic journey at BOSSS. This was the summary of the messages to the newly admitted students by the management and faculty of BOSSS during a four day orientation exercise  for new entrants that culminated on Sunday, 26th of August, 2018.

In their separate remarks, the principal of the school, Rev. Fr. Barr. Dr Christopher Amaubosi C.S.Sp and his Vice, Rev.  Dr Obiefuna J. Onwughalu  C.S.Sp congratulated the students for gaining admission into  BOSSS. They reminded them that as a Catholic school, BOSSS was committed to holistic education in which academics and character formation remain sacrosanct. They both charged the students to be disciplined in their conduct and to work hard to justify the resources their parents invest in them.

Similarly, the Director of Sports/Students Affairs, Rev. Fr Dominic Nnoshiri C.S.Sp, the head teacher Mr Asan Terngu and other orientation staff, offered useful counsel to the students by exposing them to the normative operational principles guiding the highly rated school. The exercise which ended with a briefing and collection of school items also featured award presentation to some deserving students for their outstanding performance in a book review exercise given to them.
