Pomp as BOSSS celebrates Arts and Humanities week

Bishop Okoye Spiritan secondary school was agog recently as the school marked Arts and Humanities Week.  Speaking during the week- long -program the coordinator of the event, Rev. Fr. John Paul Edoziem C.S.Sp and the Principal Rev Fr. Christopher Amaubosi C.S.Sp  in their separate remarks said the program was organized among other things to  orientate the students  on the beauty of culture and to appreciate all that Arts and humanities entail. They charged the students to be proud of their  culture adding that Africans and Nigeria  are uniquely created with rich cultures, ethnic diversity, artefacts and rich history.

Similarly,  the Vice Principal Rev. Dr.  Obiefuna Jerome Onwughalu C.S.SP who broke the  Kolanut  according to  the traditional  Igbo  culture  noted that Arts and Humanities  represent  creativity and thinking box of the society. He admonished the students to take seriously their studies and all other value adding programs of the school meant to enrich their development.

The program which featured paper presentations, debates, fashion parade, news and many more, was very colouful and quite exciting.  BOSSS has been in the vanguard against the attrition of our rich cultural heritage through careful planned programs of in the school.
