The management of Bishop Okoye Spiritan Secondary school have sentforth the pioneer principal of the school Rev Fr Christopher Amaubosi C.S.Sp and the pioneer Vice principal Rev Fr Obiefuna Jerome Onwughalu C.S.Sp after serving the institution for over a decade. The sendforth also included the outgone Vice principal II and Academic Dean II Rev Fr Vincent Ibe C.S.Sp and the outgone Dean of Students Affairs and Director of Sports Rev Fr Dominic Nnoshiri C.S.Sp. In a colourful ceremony that took place at the Austin Odili Multi-purpose hall renditions, commendations and general fanfare dominated the occasion. Speaking during the ceremony, the chairman of the occasion, Barr Henry Bello noted that the priests that were sent forth had served meritoriously and commended them for the good work they did of nurturing the school from its transcendental stage to now a mega school of great repute. He wished them well in their new endeavors and asked the school to immortalize them. Similarly the chairman of Spiritan Education Trust Fund Committee Sir Ernest Elochukwu and others who spoke during the occasion showered praises on the priests for their excellent job and asked those who have taken over from them to follow their footsteps. While delivering a keynote address, principal of BOSSS, Rev Fr Jude Ekemgba C.S.Sp while presenting token to the priests, he thanked them for their landmark achievements. He wished them well and pledged to continue to build on their legacies. The occasion which took place on 28th October, 2023 was attended by large number of parents, staff and well-wishers who came from far and near to witness the sendforth ceremony.
